Wellpoint installation
R8.5k to R18k
installed with pump
We drive a sand point down to the water table, then fit the pump, the pipework and a tap. For a garden and a tank, that is usually all you need.

Ranges include VAT.
The quote is the price
You get a written quote as a fixed number, valid 30 days. You pay that or less, never more. If the hole comes up dry, you pay for the metres drilled and nothing else.

R30k to R90k
drilled and cased
We drill with a rotary or percussion rig, line the hole with steel or PVC casing, and flush it clean. You get a written log of what we hit and at what depth.
1 to 2 days on site
R15k to R45k
supplied and fitted
We size the pump to what the hole actually gives, then add a pressure tank or a controller. Ask for a storage tank and it goes in at the same time.
Half a day
R3.5k to R6.5k
with report
We pump the hole for a set time and measure what comes out of it. You get the litres per hour in writing, before you spend a cent on a pump.
Same day
R1.5k to R8k
parts and labour
Most failures come down to a pressure switch, a capacitor, a foot valve or a burnt-out motor. We carry those parts on the bakkie, so the pump is usually running again the same visit.
Usually same day

Aquablue installed a borehole at our property in the Southern Suburbs, Cape Town. A five star professional performance from start to finish! Based on our experience I would not hesitate to recommend this company. Thank you Henry and Ivan.
Kim Clarke. September 2025
Excellent experience with AquaBlueSA. Henry was knowledgeable and realistic about what we could expect, and the process was handled professionally from site visit through to drilling. The team worked hard and delivered exactly what was promised. We now have a strong, consistent water supply and could not be happier. Highly recommended if you want honest advice and solid delivery.
Rob Smallie. April 2026

He asks four things: your suburb, what the water is for, how big the garden is, and whether you have a tank. Four answers are usually enough to price the job.

We arrive and do the work
A wellpoint is usually finished by lunch. A borehole takes a day or two, then the pump goes in.

You must register a borehole or wellpoint with the City of Cape Town. Registering is a form, not an approval, and we send you the link. Drilling for domestic garden use does not need a water use licence.
Sandy suburbs with a shallow water table take wellpoints. Shale and granite do not. The suburb pages on this site say which is which, and we confirm on the phone before we quote.
The price moves with depth, ground, casing, the pump you need and how far the water has to travel. A wellpoint in sand is a fixed price. A borehole is priced by the metre, plus the casing and the pump.
Not without a test. Most Cape Town groundwater is fine for watering the garden and flushing toilets. If you want it in the house, we can arrange a lab test.
Before we start, we tell you the odds of a dry hole in your ground. The quote says what you pay if it happens. No surprises after the fact.
Ready when you are
